Abdulazeez Saidu is a public servant and agribusiness advocate with a deep commitment to governance, sustainable agriculture, and community development. A native of Gombe State and a proud Fulani, he brings a unique perspective that bridges policy influence with grassroots realities. He currently serves as a legislative aide to the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, where he supports policy research, legislative analysis, and stakeholder engagement at the highest levels of Nigeria’s national assembly.
Abdulazeez is also a passionate livestock farmer, actively engaged in breeding and herd management as part of his long-standing dedication to sustainable agriculture and food security in Nigeria. His hands-on experience in livestock farming informs his advocacy work, particularly in shaping inclusive agricultural policies that reflect the needs of pastoral communities and smallholder farmers.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting and a Master of Science (MSc) in Business Management, and is a Certified National Accountant (CNA) with expertise in financial planning, audit, and strategic management. His background allows him to navigate both the public and private sectors with integrity and precision.
As a member of the Advocacy and Outreach Workstream of the Food Security Insights Capstone Project, Abdulazeez contributes his unique blend of legislative insight and field-based experience to advance dialogue and drive strategic reforms in Nigeria’s food systems.
A father of two, Abdulazeez is passionate about youth empowerment, nation-building, and the economic development of Nigeria’s agribusiness sector through inclusive, actionable policy engagement.
