Aondover Lawrence Utsaha is a practicing architect and project manager with over 21 years of post-graduate experience in architecture, project delivery, and development management. He holds a Master of Architecture degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (2004) and a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management from the Enterprise Development Center (EDC) of Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos (2012). He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Leadership and Governance at the TETFund-funded Abuja Leadership Center of Excellence, University of Abuja.
A Fellow of the School of Politics, Policy and Governance (SPPG), Aondover serves as the Group Lead for the Advocacy and Outreach Workstream of the Food Security Insights Capstone Project, where he drives stakeholder engagement and public awareness strategies to advance food security policy.
Beyond his professional practice, Aondover is deeply committed to advocacy, youth leadership, and social change. His leadership journey began as a student parliamentarian at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, where he twice served in the student parliament. He went on to spearhead initiatives such as LEAD-Benue (Leadership Emancipation for Advancement and Development of Benue), promoting leadership development in Benue State, and VATIM (Vanguard Against Tiv Massacres), through which he engaged government and civil society in finding solutions to attacks on Tiv farmers, contributing to the passage of the Open Grazing Prohibition and Ranches Establishment Act 2017. His political advocacy also saw him contest for the office of Governor of Benue State in 2019 through the Benue First Project platform.
Aondover also engages in small-scale rice farming, aligning his passion for agriculture with his advocacy for sustainable rural development.
